well.. Im back from Taiwan. and by popular demand, im gonna blog.
The trip has been fruitful i guess. i'll not post a lot of pictures here like i did for my US trip, but i'll only select a few. it has been a really tiring trip as we travelled the whole of taiwan in 7 days. and i think my hokkien improved a little bit? HAHA. when you have a tour guide who introduces the places in hok-nese, or chin-kien (like how xiangcen and steve calls our language chin-glish) it's a bit difficult not to pick up some. HAHA!

hmm.. this year has been er... kind of filled with mixed feelings for me i guess. haha. it started off well but not really well kinda thing, with both good and bad things happening at the same time. there were definitely struggles along the way naturally and spiritually. I've made some really tough sacrifices, and gone though spiritual dryness as well as confusion. but! at the end of the day, Bible says in ecclesiastes 7:8 that the end of a thing is better than its beginning. So! I'm very thankful to God that at the end of 2008 i'm able to accomplish much more than i expected, and really end the year well. This year i gave my first bible study, gave my first alter call, brought and integrated winnie into church, made my biggest sacrifice ever (FYI, im not talking about building fund), i think that i went up another level in terms of my guitar playing, went up another level in usher ministry (become stage usher), made wonderful friends in cca and class, got closer to my cell group members. Most importantly, i ended the year strong in God, with God. Really, without Him, none of this would be possible. Pastor mentioned something today. He said that we came into this world with nothing, and we're gonna leave it without anything, except the relationships we've made. and i especially thank God for the people He has blessed me with in this year. be it cell group, church, school. i think back now, it has indeed been a wonderful year. and yes, i also thank God that everything is going from glory to glory, strength to strength! looking forward to an even more exciting 2009 in God!
